Alan provides comprehensive wealth management and financial planning services to doctors, law firm partners, entrepreneurs, financial professionals, and other high-net worth individuals and their families. Alan’s extensive experience in financial services spans three decades prior to joining Securities America in 2019 and partnering with Symboliq Wealth Management in 2022. Alan’s career in finance has also included long tenures at other independent broker dealer firms; G. R. Phelps & Co., 1717 Capital Management Company, and Honor Townsend & Kent Inc.
In 1982, Alan received a bachelor's degree of science in electrical engineering from prestigious Northeastern University. He attained his CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in 2005 after earning his CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) designations from the American College.
Alan’s professional licenses include the Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65. He also holds New Jersey’s N.J.A.C. Insurance License for Life, Health, and Long-Term Care.
With more than 34 years of experience, Alan is an experienced leader in the field of financial planning and investment management. Alan has been featured in many leading industry publications and has written retirement analysis articles for the Star Ledger Newspaper in Newark, NJ. His analytical nature, engineering background, and strength in numerical analysis, have proved to be indispensable tools in investment design. He uses these talents for his clients and their assets as he strives to help them achieve and ultimately reach their financial goals.
Alan currently serves on the Board of Directors of St. Christopher’s Inn, a men’s homeless shelter and rehabilitation center located in Garrison, New York. He and his wife Mary live in Succasunna, New Jersey and frequently spend time away at their second home in Naples, FL. Alan has four children, Eric, Sara, Kevin, and Bryan. In his spare time, Alan enjoys playing golf, traveling, and having a good time with his dog Maggie.
